The Technician Sr. Sales HORECA is responsible for supporting the DISTRIBUTORS sales team to achieve volume and margin targets in assigned strategic accounts. This role provides a high level of service for customers, products, and programs within select accounts, promotes our Gourmet brands, and supports customers with developments and/or proposals to increase profitability and expand the portfolio.

Priority is to deliver a great service experience based on our brands, including trainings on the correct use of our brands. As a technical advisor, the role identifies commercial needs arising from end customers.

Key responsibilities
  • Identify and share potential customers with the DISTRIBUTORS sales team to generate sales of BC Gourmet brands.
  • Represent the company with different customers to address quality issues and train applications with our portfolio.
  • Support sales team with volume objectives for the assigned territory.
  • Maximize and innovate with products and services to persuade customers to buy our brands.
  • Develop proposals for seasonal and innovative products aligned with defined plans and customers.
  • Use the Chocolate Academy as a driver of innovation according to customer needs.
  • Support customer expos and showrooms with our brands.
  • Participate and support self-service production when necessary and/or negotiated with supermarkets.
About you
  • Specific diploma and bachelor’s degree in pastry, bakery, pastry chef, chocolate or similar.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a technical advisor in the pastry and/or chocolate area (HORECA customers preferred).
  • Technical knowledge: experience in hotel applications, bakery & pastry, food production, trainings, production optimization, dairy, confectionery is a strong plus.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all business partners.
  • Focus on long-term relationship skills and ability to interact with a variety of internal and external customers.
  • Travel is required – national.
  • Market visits and end-user knowledge/route to market.
  • Balance between service and execution with a focus on high-quality results in compliance with applicable regulations.
