Job summary

Scania México in León, Guanajuato, is seeking a maintenance trainee to ensure customer satisfaction through preventive tasks while learning the trade and developing skills to perform more complex maintenance. You will work in a safety-conscious workshop environment, gaining hands-on experience with Scania machinery and service procedures.

The role requires a high school or technical degree and familiarity with Scania products and services; previous diesel/gasoline experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• One year in a similar position.
• Diesel and/or gasoline mechanics.
• Knowledge of Scania products and services.
• Knowledge of DOS, DCS, SRS, SHE standards.

Responsibilities

• Check availability of tools and parts to be used, retrieve them from the warehouse.
• Check availability of maintenance information.
• Ensure application of work methods.
• Perform visual inspections of the vehicle.
• Manage any deviations that arise.
• Wash parts and components.
• Start the work order.
• Prepare the vehicle or component.
• Search for information in the system.
• Perform maintenance.
• Finalize stamping.
• Clean the work area and return used tools.
• Finalize work order.
• Communicate to the workshop manager that the assignment is finished.
• Communicate deviations.
• Propose solutions.
• Follow up on established improvement plans.
