Cummins Inc. is seeking a Technical Training Supervisor for Drivetrain Systems in a hybrid role in Escobedo, NL. You will manage planning, coordination, and delivery of technical training for distributors, dealers, and customers in the region.

The role emphasizes hands-on support for front-drive axles, braking and suspension systems, and heavy-duty vehicle applications, with opportunities to improve products and services through training and troubleshooting.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Experience with diesel systems and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Proficient in English and strong communication.

Responsabilidades

  • Uses a demand-based model to identify training needs for distributors, dealers, and customers.
  • Plans and coordinates the infrastructure to deliver training (facilities, equipment, systems, instructors).
  • Develops and delivers technical training covering products, components, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Communicates training availability and manages schedules based on regional demand.
  • Creates foundational content aligned with corporate standards for qualification processes.
  • Develops instructional materials including participant materials, guides, presentations, and job aids.
  • Provides technical support to customers and internal teams on automotive and diesel systems.
  • Maintains training completion records and provides feedback to stakeholders.
  • Gives feedback to training developers for content improvements.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve processes, products, and services; shares best practices.

We are looking for a talented TECHNICAL TRAINING SUPERVISOR (DRIVETRAIN SYSTEMS) to join our TRAINING/THECNICAL SERVICE team at our global company, located in ESCOBEDO, NUEVO LEON

Location: Carr. a Colombia S/N-KM 6, Sin Nombre, 66050 Cdad. Gral. Escobedo, N.L., México

Work Modality: Hibrido, 3 días en sitio, 2 días home office.

Job Summary:

Manages the planning, coordination, and delivery of technical training programs for distributors, dealers, and customers within the region, ensuring the availability of the facilities, resources, qualified instructors, and systems required to address training needs, new products, new hires, and performance gaps.

Provides technical support to customers and internal teams on automotive and diesel systems, with a strong focus on front drive axles, braking systems, suspension systems, and heavy-duty vehicle applications for on-highway and off-highway markets. Analyzes and resolves technical issues, shares technical knowledge and best practices, and contributes to product, process, and technical service improvements through training, troubleshooting, and effective follow-up of technical requirements.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
  • Uses a demand-based model to identify product and process training needs for distributors, dealers, and customers within the assigned territory.
  • Plans and coordinates the implementation of the infrastructure required to deliver training, including facilities, equipment, systems, and qualified instructors.
  • Develops and delivers technical training programs covering products, components, automotive systems, diagnostic procedures, and heavy-duty vehicle applications.
  • Communicates training availability and manages training schedules based on changing regional demand.
  • Creates and delivers foundational technical content aligned with corporate standards to prepare participants for qualification processes.
  • Develops and adapts instructional materials, including participant materials, instructor guides, presentations, assessments, evaluations, and job aids.
  • Provides technical support to customers and internal teams regarding automotive and diesel systems.
  • Accurately captures and maintains training completion records for participants and provides training completion feedback to business and functional stakeholders.
  • Provides feedback to training developers regarding opportunities to improve training programs, technical content, and instructional materials.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement in processes, products, and technical services while sharing technical knowledge and best practices with relevant teams.
  • Applies appropriate change management methodologies based on the context of each initiative, establishing sponsorship, ownership, and change strategies to support successful adoption.
  • Develop business cases to determine the most effective and cost-efficient method for delivering training at the local or regional level.
  • Selects, hires, manages, coaches, and develops technical training personnel; assigns work based on availability, skills, and development needs; assesses performance and provides feedback.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
  • Strong knowledge and experience in automotive mechanics and diesel systems, preferably involving heavy-duty vehicles and on-highway and off-highway applications.
  • Strong ability to deliver technical training and communicate technical knowledge clearly and effectively.
  • Experience in technical support, product diagnostics, or technical service.
  • Experience providing technical support to customers and internal teams.
  • Experience managing warranty processes and following up on technical cases through resolution.
  • Knowledge of the automotive market, including on-highway and off-highway applications.
  • Conversational English Level
  • Proficiency in MS Office and virtual meeting tools, including Zoom.
  • Availability to travel nationality 25% of the time and internationally 10% of the time.
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of drivetrain systems (front and drive axles, brake systems, and driveline) for heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Ability to perform technical troubleshooting, failure analysis, and problem resolution.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Experience delivering technical training and developing or adapting technical training materials.
  • Previous supervisory experience, including work assignment, employee development, performance assessment, and coaching of technical personnel

Education, Licenses, and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Mechanic, Diesel Systems, Heavy-Duty Vehicles, Technical Training, or a related field.
