Bain & Company in Mexico City seeks a Data Associate for the TMT CoE. You will work in mixed teams on projects ranging from weeks to months, delivering analytical outputs and insights for telecom and technology clients.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in analytics or consulting, strong English, and comfort with Python, Excel, and Alteryx. The role offers a hybrid setup, with on-site work in Polanco and collaboration across global teams.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree with 2–5 years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with 1–3 years, ideally in a multinational corporation
• Exposure to management consulting and business analytics in Technology, Media, or Telecommunications industries is preferred
• Strong command of written and spoken English (C1–C2)
• Willing to work in a hybrid setup with 4 days on-site at the Polanco Bain office

Who You’ll Work With

This full-time hybrid role, based in our Mexico City office, is a key part of Bain’s Technology, Media, & Telecommunications Centers of Expertise (TMT CoE) within the Bain Capability Network, collaborating with global leadership, client-facing teams, and end clients to develop and deliver proprietary TMT and solutions. The CoE serves leading companies across domains such as Wireline and Wireless Telecommunication, Cable and Satellite, Media, Software, Semiconductors, Hardware, Technology, CSPs, and IT Services. The team is primarily focused on collaborating with practice/case teams on the development and deployment of industry specific analytical products to answer strategic questions of Bain’s TMT clients.

Where You’ll Fit Within the Team

As a Data Associate within the TMT CoE, you will work in teams comprising a mix of Projects Leads, Associates/Lead Analysts and Analysts, on projects ranging from 3 weeks to 6 months. Delivery models on projects vary from working as part of a broader global Bain case team, collaborating with practice stakeholders, working independently with a Bain Associate Partner / Partner.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute as a member of the team to deliver projects within the Technology, Media, & Telecommunications domain
• Take responsibility for the assigned work streams to deliver high quality output
• Analyze data to draw meaningful insights and build expertise in telecom domain
• Willing to coach and support 1–2 analysts, as needed, with guidance from a Project Leader or Manager
• Support Project Leader/Manager with client communication, work planning, and team management
• Leverage relevant analytical tools – such as Python, Excel, and Alteryx – to deliver insightful analysis
• Collaborate and contribute effectively in a team environment, and deliver clear and professional presentations to the team/team leaders/managers
• Own up to professional development by consistently seeking actionable feedback

About You

• Willing and able to work in a hybrid set-up with 4 days per week on-site (Bain office in Polanco)
• Bachelor’s degree with 2–5 years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with 1–3 years of relevant experience, ideally in a multinational corporation; exposure to management consulting and business analytics (preferably within the Technology, Media, or Telecommunications industries)
• Strong command of written and spoken English (C1–C2 proficiency), with the ability to communicate effectively to drive discussions / presentations with senior stakeholders
• Demonstrates strong learning agility, analytical ability, and communication skills, with an owner’s mindset and the flexibility to quickly adapt to new tools, ways of working, project expectations, and client needs
• Uses Python, Excel, and PowerPoint to support analysis and communication

Preferred

• Understanding of GIS (geospatial) based capabilities such as capturing, storing, analyzing, and visualizing geospatial data to understand patterns
• Experience in telecom concepts such as 5G/LTE/VoLTE/M-MIMO optimization & related KPIs
• Familiarity with Alteryx and Tableau
