Emerson & Company in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico is seeking a Tax Compliance Analyst to prepare and file federal, state, local, and property tax returns accurately and on time.

You will monitor regulatory changes, assess tax implications of business initiatives, support audits, and collaborate with Finance, Legal, and business teams to maintain compliant records.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Accounting or Finance, strong Excel skills, and English proficiency for a global environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in corporate tax, public accounting, or tax compliance.
• Knowledge of federal, state, local, indirect, and/or property tax regulations.
• Experience preparing tax returns and supporting schedules.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• English proficiency sufficient to work in a global business environment.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and file tax returns and related reports on time.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filing requirements.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impact on the organization.
• Review business initiatives, transactions, and proposals to identify tax implications and actions.
• Support tax planning strategies to optimize the company's tax position while maintaining compliance.
• Assist with tax audits, inquiries, and examinations by tax authorities.
• Prepare tax-related reconciliations, analyses, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and business teams on tax-related matters.
• Support due diligence and tax analysis activities related to mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
• Maintain accurate tax records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
