Confidencial in Mexico's Jalisco region seeks a tax compliance and accounting specialist to ensure proper application of Mexican tax, social security, and regulatory requirements. You will manage federal, state, and municipal taxes, payroll contributions, VAT refunds, and government reporting.

You will lead VAT refunds, INEGI questionnaires, and responses to authorities, while supporting audits and advising management on tax strategy and process improvements.

Formación

• University degree in Public Accounting is required.
• Master’s degree in Taxation or Accounting preferred.
• 5 to 6 years of experience in tax compliance and accounting.
• Experience in VAT refunds and government reporting.
• Familiarity with INEGI questionnaires and IMMEX compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure timely fulfillment of federal, state, and municipal tax obligations.
• Oversee social security obligations with IMSS/INFONAVIT.
• Lead VAT refunds: preparation, submission, follow-up.
• Prepare INEGI questionnaires and government reports.
• Support audits and regulatory reviews by authorities.
• Provide technical tax advice to management and finance.
• Stay updated on Mexican tax legislation and changes.
• Collaborate with external advisors and auditors.
• Identify improvements to internal tax processes and controls.
• Coordinate responses with SAT, Ministry of Economy, IMSS, and other entities.
