Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS is required.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; ability to learn new technologies.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in application development or technical support.
• Experience with C, C++, Java, Cobol, SQL and related tools is preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Position Summary:

The STS Systems Engineer is primarily responsible for coding, testing, debugging, implementing and documenting programs as assigned.
Gather requirements, create and design solutions as well as being an SME, perform code reviews.
Also responsible for learning environmental specific standards in relation to coding, releases and tools, according to business needs.

Job Responsibilities – Other duties may be assigned:

• Gathers user requirements develop formal program specifications, and responsible for troubleshooting existing reports.
• Generates support documentation, provides analytical data and makes recommendations to support strategic goals.
• Writes code and conducts unit test/debugging on code written, implements systems.
• Coaching and counseling of the lower tiers of development; works alongside the different levels of support to ensure the implemented applications are efficient.

Skills and Requirements:

• Level of formal education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
• Area of study: Computer Science / MIS
• Years of experience: Three to five years.
• Type of experience: In application development, Technical Support, Support Industry.
• Special certifications or technical skills: Proficiencies in some of the following: C, C++, Java, Cobol, Visual Basic, SQL, Powerbuilder, JCL, Linux Bash, Python, Pearl, Jquery, HTML, Linux Environment.
• Other/preferred: Communication and analytical, fluent English and Spanish; ability to learn new technologies
