Valeo seeks an Engineering Disciplines professional to lead technical projects in automotive camera and ADAS domains. The role demands strong problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, and mentorship of junior engineers.

You will contribute to design standards, participate in digitalization efforts, and drive IP-aware innovations while ensuring high-quality delivery across Newness levels 2-3 within a global automotive context.

Formación

• Engineering degree required.
• 3+ years of discipline engineering experience in automotive or related industries.
• Strong technical expertise in the discipline and proven project delivery.
• Experience leading projects, especially with Newness levels 2-3.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with QRQC usage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proactive in identifying and delivering new solutions.
• Understanding IP protection and patent filing processes.
• Mentoring junior engineers.
• ADAS mid knowledge and automotive camera features (visualization, HMI, image creation, camera packing).

Responsabilidades

• Lead technical execution of engineering projects while optimizing budgets.
• Coordinate with Operations and cross-functional teams to deliver Newness levels 2-3 designs.
• Serve as a reference for problem solving using Valeo QRQC methodologies.
• Communicate complex solutions clearly to customers and stakeholders.
• Share technical knowledge across disciplines and mentoring engineers.
• Develop and validate design standards and participate in digitalization roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Budget Budget Commitment: Demonstrate commitment to achieving project budgets by optimizing resource allocation and adhering to cost-effective engineering practices.
• Support Operations Lead Complex Projects: Lead the technical execution of engineering projects, particularly those involving Newness levels 2-3 (new designs based on existing knowledge or design based on existing rules).
• Technical Problem Solving: Serve as a referent for critical problem solving within the Discipline, utilizing Valeo standard methodologies like QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Customer Communication: Effectively communicate complex technical solutions and challenges to internal and external customers, ensuring clarity and understanding.
• Technical Transversal Sharing: Proactively share technical knowledge and best practices across teams and divisions, fostering collaboration and knowledge dissemination.
• Technical Coaching and Mentoring: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Discipline Engineers, fostering their professional development and expertise.
• Design Standards Development: Leverage expertise to build, improve, and validate design standards for Newness levels 2-3, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and Valeo's strategic objectives.
• Efficiency Digitalization Roadmap Execution: Actively participate in the execution of the Discipline's Digitalization Roadmap, identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Continuous Improvement: Analyze problem-solving outcomes to identify systemic issues and propose improvements to existing processes and methodologies.
• Innovation Innovative Solution Development: Propose and contribute to the development of innovative solutions to engineering challenges, leveraging existing technologies and methodologies.
• Intellectual Property Protection: Identify patentable inventions arising from innovative solutions and actively participate in the patent filing process (IP).
• Collaboration and Influence Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with engineers and stakeholders from other Disciplines to ensure seamless project execution and integrated solutions.

Requirements

• Education / Training: Engineering Degree
• Professional Experience: >3 years of experience in Discipline Engineering activities in automotive or relevant industries.
• Strong technical expertise within the Discipline.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering engineering projects, particularly those involving Newness levels 2-3.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience utilizing methodologies like QRQC.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information.
• Proactive approach to identifying and contributing to new solutions.
• Understanding of intellectual property protection and patent filing processes.
• Experience mentoring and coaching junior engineers.
• ADAS Mid knowledge.
• Strong experience in Automotive Camera related features: Visualization, HMI, Images creation and Camera packing.
