GE Aerospace is seeking a software professional to contribute to design, development, delivery, and maintenance of tools across lab environments and applications. You will support the full software lifecycle including requirements analysis, documentation, testing, and implementation.

Ideal candidates will have experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Python scripting, and SQL databases, along with knowledge of OOP and CI/CD practices in an Agile environment.

Formación

• Experience with SDLC and lean/agile methodologies.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and Python for scripting/automation.
• Strong SQL query and database skills (MySQL, Postgres or similar).
• Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.

Roles and Responsibilities

In This Role, You Will

• Have awareness of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/ Software.
• Ability to write code in Javascript/Typescript.
• Ability to write code in Python for scripting/automation.
• Ability to read/write/manage SQL queries/databases (MySQL, Postgres, similar).
• Understand and apply the principles of OOP.

Education Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with basic experience.

Desired Characteristics Technical Expertise

• Awareness on Bash (scripting)/Linux (OS Management).
• Prior work experience in an agile environment, or introductory training on Lean/Agile.
• Prior experience with scripting languages (Shell, Bash, Perl).
• Aware of and able to apply continuous integration (CI).
• Awareness on Docker/Virtualization
• Understand what an API is
• General understanding of the impacts of technology choice to the software development life cycle.
