Job summary

Vertiv Co in Monterrey, Mexico seeks an Engineer II Mechanical Engineering Sustaining Engineer to own the lifecycle of assigned product lines, assuring reliability, manufacturability and continuous improvement. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Thermal or related field.
• 5 years of engineering product development or support experience.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in 3D CAD software (Creo 4.0, Solid Edge).
• Basic working knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts, products and safety.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and manage Engineering Change Requests and Change Orders through PLM to implement design changes and manufacturing improvements.
• Evaluate and qualify alternate components and suppliers to mitigate supply chain risks and reduce cost.
• Serve as the technical liaison for cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Electrical, and Product Management.
• Provide technical support to internal Vertiv functions.
• Perform engineering calculations to verify design requirements.
