Kiewit Mexico is seeking a geomatics/engineering professional to prepare quantity takeoffs, analyze topographic data, and develop 2D/3D models using Civil 3D, MicroStation InRoads, and Trimble Business Center. The role supports engineering, estimating and project planning on infrastructure and construction projects.

Experience in construction CAD tools, strong Excel skills, and good communication are essential.

Formación

• Geomatics, Survey or Engineering degree with construction industry experience.
• 1–5 years of experience in quantity takeoffs, topographic data processing, or civil design.
• Proficient in CAD programs: Civil 3D, MicroStation InRoads or Trimble Business Center.
• Advanced Excel skills; BlueBean experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Build 2D and 3D models from various information sources.
• Assist in construction work plans, project planning and scheduling.
• Review drawings and update based on field input from PMs and Project Engineer.
• Optimize grading/earthworks quantities.
• Perform concrete calculations for layout.
• Carry out detailed quantity takeoffs in 3D from models for estimating or progress claims.

Responsible for preparing quantity takeoffs, volume calculations, technical drawings, and topographic data analysis for infrastructure and construction projects. This role utilizes AutoCAD and Civil 3D to develop accurate technical documentation that supports engineering, estimating, budgeting, and project planning activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Build 2D and 3D models from a variety of information sources
• Assist in preparation of construction work plans, project planning and scheduling
• Review drawings and make changes based on field input from segment Project Managers and Project Engineer
• Optimize grading/ earthworks quantities
• Perform concrete calculation for layout
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs in 3D from the models for estimating purposes and / or to support progress claims during construction

Requirements

• A Geomatics, Survey or Engineering degree with experience in the construction industry
• 1 to 5 years of experience in quantity takeoffs, topographic data processing, or civil design
• Experienced in CAD programs such as Civil 3D, Microstation Inroads or Trimble Business Center
• Avid user of Excel and ideally experienced in BlueBean
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives
• Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
