Overview
The Supply Chain Supervisor will oversee and optimize the end-to-end supply chain processes, ensuring efficient flow of goods from suppliers to customers by coordinating procurement, inventory and logistics. This role will manage a team of supply chain professionals, monitor inventory levels, and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency while meeting the company’s quality and delivery standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise,mentor, and train a team of supply chain staff, fostering a collaborative andhigh-performance work environment.
- Developand implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, andminimize lead times across global operations.
- Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and ensure optimal stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Collaborate with international suppliers to negotiate contracts, ensure timely deliveries, and maintain quality standards.
- Manage transportation and logistics operations, including customs compliance, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Utilize supply chain management software and data analytics to track performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensureall supply chain activities adhere to international trade regulations, companypolicies, and industry standards.
- Work closely with production, procurement, and sales teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, such as delays or geopolitical issues.
Qualifications
- Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management,Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, with 5+ years ofexperience. Or, Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strongknowledge of global supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics,and inventory management.
- Strongproblem-solving skills to analyze complex data and resolve operationalchallenges efficiently.
- Self-motivatedprofessional with a proven ability to take initiative and drive results in a afast-paced environment.
- Proficiencyin ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and global trade regulations.
- Effectivecommunication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work with diverseinternational teams.
- Excellentleadership skills, able to guide, motivate and develop a high performing team.
