Johnson Controls seeks a COE Manager to oversee ERP-related manufacturing engineering activities across plants. You will drive standard cost reporting and perpetual inventory, lead knowledge-sharing, and provide best practices for ERP usage in manufacturing operations.
The role focuses on building a high‑performing COE, delivering training, process improvements, and cross‑functional collaboration to optimize plant layouts, routings, and lean initiatives.

Responsible for the COE overall performance providing to the manufacturing plants the best practices for implementing a full ERP system, optimizing the resources and systems available, evaluating current situation for obtaining the standard cost and perpetual inventory with the most accurate numbers and providing the solutions to fix the identified gaps.
Under general direction, manages overall ERP systems and Manufacturing Engineering activities to have the ERP system fully implemented and able to report standard cost and perpetual inventory. As a SCE and ME COE Manager: you will hold direct accountability of the COE services provided to the multiple satellite company departments participating on a specific project from the beginning to the closure of the project. As a manager of the center of excellence, you will lead the department to provide best practices, research, support and/or training for a focus area. The COE is an organization that works across business units (BUs) or product lines within a BU and has a leading-edge knowledge and competency in that area. It is comprised of highly skilled individuals and experts, who disseminate knowledge in an organization and share best practices from development to implementation. This role will hold broad responsibility for developing and implementing the proper manufacturing plant layout matching describing the ERP systems including the SCM set ups and parameters needed plus work centers, product families, validating the drawings, developing the routings with all proper cycle times using the most advance lean manufacturing tools such 5S, standardized work Kaizen and immediately providing feedback for the findings during the initial validation stage. As a result of the above-described activities the organization will be able to report the standard cost and have a full perpetual inventory.
