Job summary

Base Power Company is seeking a Supplier Industrialization Engineer based in Mexico to optimize supplier manufacturing processes for high quality, cost‑effective production. You will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to scale from prototyping to mass production and-to ensure timely, quality parts delivery.

The role requires evaluating supplier capabilities, auditing facilities, and driving design for manufacturability. Travel within Mexico and to the US is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Commercial acumen to structure, negotiate, and sustain win‑win‑win outcomes for Base, our partner, and our members in a B2B2C environment.
• Analytical and data‑driven mindset; comfort working with modern tools (e.g., SQL, dashboards, CRMs).
• Manufacturing knowledge across one or multiple process types: PCBA, electro‑mechanical assembly, sheetmetal, injection molding, casting, coating, etc.
• Ability to travel throughout Mexico and to the US. Depending on home location, expect travel 50%+

Responsibilities

• Boost on the ground eyes and ears of Base Power throughout Mexico, ensuring on‑time deliveries of quality parts and assemblies.
• Ramp supplier lines from early prototyping through full‑scale production, ensuring readiness across equipment, staffing, and processes.
• Size‑up suppliers to see if they are a cultural fit to work with Base on a long‑term basis.
• Work directly with suppliers to assess, design, and optimize manufacturing processes to meet production requirements.
• Support the supplier qualification process, including auditing manufacturing facilities, production processes, and quality standards.
• Support design for manufacturability reviews in the product design phase as a representative of “the supplier”
• Evaluate the “should cost” of supplier manufacturing strategies to inform the investment value of Base in our suppliers
