Emerson is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead improvements in global area supply chain performance, focusing on on-time delivery, quality, and cost initiatives. You will manage supplier improvements, train suppliers in Lean and Six Sigma, and drive readiness for audits.

The role requires 5+ years in quality/engineering, ASNT Level II in NDT, and willingness to travel up to 75%. Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills are essential for success in this global

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with ASNT Level II in NDT.
  • Fluent bilingual capability 95% or higher.
  • 5+ years in quality or engineering with supplier improvement and strong project management.
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • ASNT Level II in NDT for LPT/MPT.
  • Experience in DOE and cause-effect analysis.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead improvements in global area supply chain performance, addressing on-time delivery, quality, cost, and parts/assembly issues.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, Gage R&R, and process mapping to improve processes.
  • Manage projects to closure with QA, engineering, and procurement.
  • Conduct supplier training on Lean, Six Sigma, and the Global Supplier Quality Manual.
  • Track and monitor supplier performance metrics across the global area.
  • Conduct project debriefs for senior management.
  • Lead supplier approval and ESAC audits on site with follow-up actions.
  • Assist product managers in major supplier business reviews.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Lead improvements in global area supply chain performance in support of business needs. Areas of improvement include on‑time delivery, quality, cost initiatives, and parts/assembly issues within the company.
  • Use appropriate tools and processes including, but not limited to, Lean Techniques, Six Sigma Tools, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Capability Studies, Process Mapping, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Repeatability and Reproducibility Calibration Analysis (Gage R&R).
  • Manage projects to closure, using quality assurance associates, engineering, and procurement as needed across the enterprise.
  • Conduct supplier training on the use of Lean Manufacturing requirements, Six Sigma, and the Global Supplier Quality Manual.
  • Track and monitor supplier performance metrics in the respective global area.
  • Conduct project debriefs for senior management.
  • Lead the supplier approval process and conduct the quality system audits process (ESAC) on site to include follow‑up and closure of open items discovered during audits.
  • Assist product managers in major supplier business reviews.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field, with training in NDT by ASNT as Level II.
  • Bilingual 95%.
  • 5 years of related experience in quality or engineering functions; supplier improvement efforts with demonstrated analytical, communication, project management and decision‑making skills; preferably experience in operations and/or procurement. 3 years with a Master’s degree also acceptable.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • Experience in non‑destructive testing development (LPT and MPT) as a technician Level II minimum by ASNT.
  • Experience in design of experiments and cause‑mode and effect analysis.
  • Availability and documentation to travel 75%.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Project management and auditing skills.
  • Ability to read prints and understand geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Microsoft Office skills: Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio and Project.
  • Knowledge of quality regulations and standards such as ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis).
  • Knowledge in interpretation of non‑destructive testing results.
