Emerson is seeking a Global Supplier Quality Engineer to lead improvements in supplier performance across the enterprise, focusing on on-time delivery, quality, cost initiatives, and parts/assembly issues. You will use Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC to drive measurable results.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, ASNT Level II in NDT, 5 years in quality or engineering with supplier improvement, and travel up to 75%.

  • ASNT Level II in NDT and related certifications are required.
  • 5 years of related experience in quality or engineering with supplier improvement.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead improvements in supplier performance including on-time delivery, quality, and cost initiatives.

  • Coordinate with quality, engineering, and procurement to close projects.
  • Conduct supplier training on Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • Oversee supplier audits and ESAC processes on site.
  • Support product managers in supplier reviews.

Descripción del empleo

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Lead improvements in global area supply chain performance in support of business needs; areas include on‑time delivery, quality, cost initiatives, and parts/assembly issues within the company.
  • Use appropriate tools and processes including Lean Techniques, Six Sigma tools, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Capability Studies, Process Mapping, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Repeatability and Reproducibility Calibration Analysis (Gage R&R).
  • Manage projects to closure using quality assurance associates, engineering, and procurement as needed across the enterprise.
  • Conduct supplier training on Lean manufacturing requirements and Six Sigma.
  • Incorporate the Global Supplier Quality Manual.
  • Track and monitor supplier performance metrics in the respective global area.
  • Conduct project debriefs for senior management.
  • Lead the supplier approval process; conduct the quality system audits process (ESAC) on site, including follow‑up and closure of open items discovered during audits.
  • Assist product managers in major supplier business reviews.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor Degree as Mechanical, Industrial Engineer or related, with training in NDT by ASNT as level II.
  • Bilingual 95%.
  • 5 years of related experience (quality or engineering functions; supplier improvement efforts with demonstrated analytical, communication, project management and decision‑making skills; preferably experience in operations and/or procurement) with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • Experience in non‑destructive testing development LPT and MPT, as a technician level II minimum by ASNT.
  • Experience in design of experiments and cause mode and effect analysis.
  • Availability and documentation to travel 75%.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Project management and auditing skills.
  • Ability to read prints and understand geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Microsoft Office skills: Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio and Project.
  • Knowledge of quality regulations and standards such as ISO (International Organization for Standardization), FMEA.
  • Knowledge in interpretation of non‑destructive testing results.
