Hutchinson seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer in Guanajuato to investigate, analyze and resolve supplier quality problems by conducting audits, analyzing defect responses, and coordinating with the supply base.

You will support purchasing, manage supplier audits, drive process standardization and continuous improvement, and promote root cause analysis to prevent non-conformances, ensuring a reliable supply chain.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required and related experience in supplier quality.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA, and PPAP processes is essential.
• Experience with supplier audits and root cause analysis is expected.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate, analyze and resolve supplier quality problems through audits and defect response analysis.
• Support Purchasing to ensure supplier performance is reported and corrective actions implemented.
• Maintain and update critical supplier audit system and schedule.
• Conduct supplier audits to drive standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and improve supply chain communication, including OTD, quality and supplier interactions.
• Communicate short/long term supplier quality goals.
• Promote problem solving and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of non-conformances.
• Assist Engineering/Manufacturing in evaluating and qualifying new supplier materials (PPAP).
• Drive a 'Zero Defects' mentality within the supply base.
• Analyze and log MCN and MCN debits.

Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible to investigate, analyze and resolve supplier quality problems by conducting audits, analyzing defect responses, communication with the supply base and communication with the HANA's teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support Purchasing to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented

Maintain and update critical supplier audit system and schedule

Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement

Monitor, communicate and improve supply chain, including Supplier OTD (Past due), Quality and communication.

Communicate short / long term supplier quality goals

Promote problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances

Work to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply

Aide Engineering/Manufacturing in the evaluation and qualification of new supplier materials (PPAP) following a defined new product development process

Drive "Zero Defects" mentality within the suppy base.

Analyze and log MCN and MCN debits.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.

6 years related experience

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5 Why's, Pareto, Six Sigma, 8 D, DFMEA, PFEMA, PPAP.
