Emerson is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to establish new suppliers and qualify components for production, while representing Supplier Quality Engineering on New Product Development teams. The role conducts audits of suppliers’ quality management systems and creates qualification plans to verify Production Part Approval Process deliverables.

• Create qualification plans and verify Production Part Approval Process deliverables.
• Participate in stage gate development process to qualify suppliers or components.
• Monitor and manage the quality of purchased components
• Respond to supplier quality issues and lead disposition of supplier non-conformances and actions identified on each instance thru the Andon process.
• Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers thru Supplier Corrective Action Requests to eliminate recurrence of non-conformaces.
• Develop receiving inspection plans and verification methods.
• Contol and maintain minimum inventory levels of discrepant material at MRB (Material Review Board).
• Manages and dispose supplier non-conformances in a timely manner.
