Job summary

PHINIA Sweden AB in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, is hiring a Supplier Order Management Planner to secure uninterrupted material flow for production. You will balance inventory, optimize cash flow, and manage relationships with global suppliers using SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in Material Planning, Production Control, or Supplier Order Management in fast-paced manufacturing (Automotive preferred).
• Bilingual English & Spanish; ability to negotiate with international suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and release purchase orders for production materials with appropriate lead times.
• Analyze daily inventory availability (Days of Supply) to meet production schedules and maximize cash flow.
• Monitor supply chain to prevent downtime and costly freight.
• Collaborate with supplier base to anticipate bottlenecks and recover from disruptions.
• Lead change management to phase components in/out and avoid obsolete inventory.
• Own and report OTIF, inventory target variations, and transit costs.

JOB PURPOSE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Supplier Order Management Planner is a key strategic role responsible for ensuring an uninterrupted flow of materials to support manufacturing operations through flawless execution of the supplier ordering process. This position requires an autonomous, highly analytical professional with deep SAP expertise to balance inventory levels, optimize cash flow, and manage relationship metrics with global suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, schedule, and release purchase orders for production materials, ensuring appropriate lead times to maximize plant operating efficiency.
- Analyze daily inventory availability (Days of Supply) to meet production schedules, maximize cash flow, and increase inventory turnover.
- Proactively monitor the supply chain to eliminate manufacturing downtime and eradicate extra expenses from premium freights.
- Partner closely with the supplier base to anticipate bottlenecks, prevent delivery disruptions, and manage recovery plans.
- Actively participate in engineering change management to smoothly phase components in and out, eliminating financial exposure from obsolete inventory.
- Own and report operational metrics including OTIF (On-Time In-Full), inventory target variations, and transit costs.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience: 3 to 5+ years of proven experience in Material Planning, Production Control, or Supplier Order Management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment (Automotive preferred).
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) . Must be fully capable of negotiating and handling complex issues with international suppliers.

- ERP System: Advanced SAP user
- MS Office (Excel, Word) .
