Job summary

EssilorLuxottica, a global leader in eyewear, seeks an Operations Supervisor for the Trade Compliance Team in Mexico. You will oversee daily IMMEX import/export operations, ensuring compliance with Mexican regulations and internal procedures to keep goods moving efficiently.

You will coordinate customs brokers, manage documentation, and collaborate across Operations, Logistics, Manufacturing, Finance, and Procurement to ensure timely and compliant movement of goods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Customs Administration, International Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of IMMEX operations, customs compliance, or import/export experience.
• Experience managing customs operations in manufacturing or maquiladora environments.
• Experience with Annex 24 and Annex 30 processes.
• Experience coordinating customs brokers and cross-functional teams.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily import and export operations for IMMEX manufacturing activities.
• Ensure timely and compliant customs clearance processes.
• Monitor customs transactions, virtual operations, temporary imports, returns, transfers, and regime changes.
• Validate documentation (pedimentos, invoices, packing lists, COVEs, origin certificates).
• Coordinate escalation and resolution of customs clearance issues affecting production or shipments.
• Ensure adherence to IMMEX requirements and Mexican Customs Regulations.
• Monitor deadlines and inventory aging related to temporary imports.
• Support certifications like VAT, OEA & CTPAT operational requirements.
• Coordinate PROSEC, USMCA, and other trade program requirements.

Your role

We are looking for a Operations Supervisor for the Trade Compliance Team who i s responsible for overseeing daily import/export operations within an IMMEX manufacturing environment. This role ensures operational execution aligned with Mexican Customs Regulations, IMMEX Program requirements, Annex 24 & Annex 30 controls, VAT, OEA & CTPATCertifications, and internal trade compliance procedures.

The position supervises operational activities related to customs transactions, inventory control, customs broker coordination,transportationand trade program execution while driving operational efficiency, compliance accuracy, and service continuity across the organization.

This role serves as a key liaison between Operations, Logistics, Customs Brokers, Manufacturing, Finance, Procurement, and Compliance leadership to ensuretimelyand compliant movement of goods.

Key Responsibilities

Import & Export Operations Management

Supervise daily import and export operations for IMMEX manufacturing activities.

Ensuretimelyand compliant customs clearance processes.

Monitor customs transactions, virtual operations, temporary imports, returns, transfers, and regime changes.

Validate operational compliance for customs documentation includingpedimentos, invoices, packing lists, COVEs,certificates of originand

Coordinate escalation and resolution of customs clearance issues affecting production or customer shipments.

Ensure operational adherence to IMMEX Program requirements and Mexican Customs Regulations.

Monitor temporary import return deadlines and inventory aging exposure.

Support VAT, OEA & CTPATCertificationsoperational requirements and compliance controls.

Coordinate operational execution of PROSEC, USMCA, and other trade program requirements.

Maintain compliance with internal SOPs, policies, and trade compliance controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in: International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Customs Administration, International Business, Related field

5+ years of experience in IMMEX operations, customs compliance, or import/export operations.

Experience managing customs operations within manufacturing or maquiladora environments.

Experience with Annex 24 and Annex 30 operational processes.

Experience coordinating customs brokers and cross-functional operational teams.

Supervisory or team leadership experienceis preferred.
