EssilorLuxottica is seeking an Operations Supervisor for their Trade Compliance Team in Tijuana, Mexico. This role involves overseeing daily import/export operations in an IMMEX manufacturing environment while ensuring compliance with Mexican Customs and trade regulations.

The successful candidate will supervise customs transactions and coordinate among cross-functional teams to ensure efficiency and compliance across operations. A Bachelor’s degree and over 5 years of relevant experience are required.

• Supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.

Join EssilorLuxottica's Trade Compliance Team as an Operations Supervisor, overseeing daily import/export operations within an IMMEX manufacturing environment.

Your role

This role ensures operational execution aligned with Mexican Customs Regulations, IMMEX Program requirements, Annex 24 & Annex 30 controls, VAT, OEA & CTPAT certifications, and internal trade compliance procedures.

The position supervises operational activities related to customs transactions, inventory control, customs broker coordination, transportation and trade program execution while driving operational efficiency, compliance accuracy, and service continuity across the organization.

It serves as a key liaison between Operations, Logistics, Customs Brokers, Manufacturing, Finance, Procurement, and Compliance leadership to ensure the timely and compliant movement of goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily import and export operations for IMMEX manufacturing activities.
• Ensure timely and compliant customs clearance processes.
• Monitor customs transactions, virtual operations, temporary imports, returns, transfers, and regime changes.
• Validate operational compliance for customs documentation including pedimentos, invoices, packing lists, COVEs, certificates of origin, and other required documents.
• Coordinate escalation and resolution of customs clearance issues affecting production or customer shipments.

IMMEX & Trade Compliance Execution

• Ensure operational adherence to IMMEX Program requirements and Mexican Customs Regulations.
• Monitor temporary import return deadlines and inventory aging exposure.
• Support VAT, OEA & CTPAT certifications operational requirements and compliance controls.
• Coordinate operational execution of PROSEC, USMCA, and other trade program requirements.
• Maintain compliance with internal SOPs, policies, and trade compliance controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Customs Administration, International Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IMMEX operations, customs compliance, or import/export operations.
• Experience managing customs operations within manufacturing or maquiladora environments.
• Experience with Annex 24 and Annex 30 operational processes.
• Experience coordinating customs brokers and cross‑functional operational teams.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
• English – Advanced proficiency.
