Job summary

Medline Industries, LP in Nuevo Laredo, MX is seeking a production supervisor to oversee and coordinate manufacturing processes, monitor schedules, and ensure product quality. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in production and prior leadership experience, and preference for SAP and Catalyst exposure.

Qualifications

• SAP and Catalyst experience preferred.
• Previous production or department lead experience is a plus.
• Experience managing people is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate product processing.
• Monitor backorder reports and production scheduling; allocate resources to minimize backorders.
• Ensure overall quality of produced items.
• Create inventory transfers and production orders to meet schedules and service levels.
• Create all necessary paperwork and ensure receipt of finished goods.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory functions.
• Ensure inventory integrity for components and finished products.
• Communicate backordered or substitute items with product divisions.
• Act as back-up on production equipment, material handling and warehouse.
• Develop staff through onboarding, training, and performance management; maintain morale and ensure proper staffing.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and coordinate product processing.
• Monitor backorder reports and production scheduling and coordinate resources to ensure minimal backorders.
• Ensure overall quality of the items produced.
• Create inventory transfers and production orders to meet the established production schedules and service levels.
• Create all needed paperwork, the completion of all required functions and the electronic receipt of finished goods.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory functions that apply.
• Ensure inventory integrity for components and finished product.
• Communicate with product divisions on backordered items and substitute items.
• Act as back-up on/for production equipment, material handling and warehouse.
• Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.
