Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the overall production activities within the organization. This role involves leading a team of production professionals, developing and implementing production procedures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The Production Supervisor conducts regular audits, reviews production data, and collaborates with other departments to address production issues and drive continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include managing production documentation, providing training and development opportunities for staff, and reporting on production performance to senior management.

Responsibilities
  • Supervision and Leadership: Provide guidance and direction to production team; lead and motivate team to meet production goals; conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback; identify and address any issues or conflicts within the team.
  • Quality Control: Ensure products meet company quality standards; address any quality issues or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Communication and Reporting: Communicate production updates and issues to upper management; provide regular reports on production progress and performance; coordinate with other departments for product launches or changes; maintain open and clear communication with production team members.
  • Team Management: Understand team dynamics and effective management practices; be adept at balancing individual tasks with overseeing team performance; address conflicts professionally and constructively; motivate team members to achieve their best.
  • Adaptability: Be adaptable and flexible in the face of changing priorities and unexpected challenges; make informed decisions based on organizational goals and guidelines.
  • High Impact Behaviors: Lead by example; actively engage and develop team members; monitor progress and drive operational efficiency through continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration/Industrial engineering or a related field with at least 2 years of experience, including at least 1 year as a supervisor or equivalent relevant experience.
  • In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Experience with developing and implementing inventory management policies and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
