Job summary

Nemak Mexico is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee resources in the production area and support the Team Leader and Supervisor to meet objectives. You will drive continuous improvement projects and monitor safety, scrap, and costs.

You will lead a team focused on accountability and development while ensuring EH&S requirements are met. The role requires a degree in engineering and knowledge of machining processes, with basic English proficiency and strong leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Proficiency in core quality tools: 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa diagrams.
• Basic English proficiency.
• Knowledge in Machining process.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support understanding of unsafe acts and conditions.
• Monitor scrap levels, identify root causes, and lead improvement projects.
• Conduct regular walkthroughs of production areas, support the team, and lead improvement projects.
• Ensure area resources are aligned with manufacturing cost objectives.

Operations Supervisor

Objective

• Manage and support the understanding and identification of unsafe acts and conditions.
• Monitor scrap levels to ensure they remain within established targets, identify and understand their root causes, and develop improvement projects and action plans to achieve objectives.
• Conduct regular walkthroughs of production areas, provide support to the team, and lead improvement projects.
• Ensure that area resources are managed in alignment with manufacturing cost objectives.
• Promote a work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and employee development.
• Manage and support the understanding of environmental, health, and safety requirements.

Position Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or a related field.

Knowledge and application of Core Tools

• 8D methodology, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa diagrams.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and specific customer requirements
• English basic level.
