Job summary

Eaton Group in Querétaro seeks an experienced Operational Buyer to manage supplier relationships, drive cost reductions, and support cross-functional procurement initiatives. You will balance quality, delivery and cost while guiding engineering changes and supplier requirements across multiple commodities.

The role requires 1–3 years of direct material purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably with automotive exposure, and fluency in Spanish and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (supply chain, engineering or business).
• 1–3 years of direct material purchasing experience in manufacturing.
• Automotive background is preferred; bilingual Spanish/English advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manages supplier relationships and opportunities for cost out and product improvement while meeting production, delivery and capacity needs.
• Negotiates with internal and external suppliers to reach win/win outcomes and resolve disputes.
• Leads or supports project management initiatives to improve procurement practices.
• Develops cost-out projects and manages engineering changes and supplier requirements.
• Maintains supplier contacts and commercial responsibilities for assigned commodities.
• Facilitates cross-functional collaboration within commodity teams to optimize outcomes.
• Addresses accounts payable questions and supports invoice resolution as needed.
• Applies total cost management knowledge to outsourcing strategies and supplier evaluations.
