Wabtec is seeking an experienced Sourcing Leader to drive strategic sourcing and supplier management across Mexico. You will develop and execute sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and lead cost-reduction initiatives in collaboration with Operations, Finance, Engineering, and HR.

You will manage indirect/direct spend, oversee supplier onboarding, and ensure procurement compliance while delivering year-over-year savings and robust supplier performance metrics.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or Commodity Management.
• Proven experience leading supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Experience managing indirect and/or direct spend categories in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier onboarding, RFQs/RFPs, contract administration, and supplier performance management.
• Experience working with ERP and procurement systems (e.g., Coupa, Oracle, SAP, Ariba, or similar platforms).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate pricing, market trends, and total cost of ownership (TCO).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); bilingual English/Spanish preferred for operations supporting Mexico and the United States.
• Strong understanding of procurement compliance, commercial terms, risk management, and corporate sourcing policies.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver sourcing projects and lead supplier negotiations to support manufacturing and business operations.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies, supplier onboarding, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Engineering, EHS, HR, and plant leadership to ensure procurement support.
• Provide updates on savings, supplier performance, and procurement compliance through reviews and reports.
• Negotiate contracts and service agreements to maximize value and minimize risk.
