Job summary

Seco Tools Mexico is seeking a Purchasing Specialist in Saltillo to source indirect and direct materials and services while ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager Mexico, you will collaborate with engineering, production, and finance to optimize procurement and support operations at the Ramos Arizpe facility. Fluency in English and Spanish is desirable; a Bachelor’s in related field and 3+ years of procurement experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 3+ years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with ability to build supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement from supplier selection to contract management.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to cut costs and boost efficiency.
• Conduct market research to identify suppliers and assess capability.
• Negotiate favorable terms including pricing, delivery, and payment terms.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and finance to align needs.
• Monitor supplier performance and address issues to maintain relationships.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and legal/ethical standards.
• Analyze purchasing data for KPIs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Participate in cross-functional projects to optimize supply chain processes.
