Job summary

FORVIA in San Juan del Río, Querétaro, seeks a Plant Material Planner to ensure timely raw material availability for production. You will build the procurement program, manage piece deliveries, and monitor supplier performance to avoid excess or shortages.

The role emphasizes data analysis, SAP parameter setup, and adherence to Mexican safety and environmental standards, with collaboration across manufacturing and logistics to support PDP and production plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or international business
• Basic English
• At least 6 months as a material planner
• Experience in automotive or electronic industries
• Knowledge of INCOTERMS
• Negotiation and analytics skills
• Ethical standards; data analysis
• Driven by results
• Basic knowledge of Mexican health, safety, and environmental standards
• Basic knowledge of environmental aspects and impacts

Responsibilities

• Build up the Procurement Program by dividing and levelling piece procurements based on inventory model.
• Follow up the Procurement Program realization by managing alert systems and follow unloading, receipt and transportation of pieces.
• Follow supplier delivery performance and the service of logistics partners; propose improvement actions.
• Adherence to material cost by following premium freight and spot buy budget.
• Secure supply for raw materials on a weekly basis according to PDP.
• Claim to suppliers due to disruptions in the supply chain.
• Follow up schedule agreements (SA) with suppliers.
• Apply FES standards for effective procurement, receiving, and inventory management.
• Verify Sales and Production Plan capacity can be supported by suppliers and implement corrective actions.
