Job summary

Flowserve Corporation is seeking a Buyer in Mexicali to guarantee subcontracted component and service purchases at optimal price, quality and lead times. You will support the Commercial Operations team with advance procurement activities and help shape purchasing strategies across engineered markets to boost profitability and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Proficient in purchasing techniques and best practices.
• Understanding of technical requirements and quality in products.
• Fluency in English for global communication.
• Strong knowledge of negotiations, supplier evaluation and development, and logistics.
• Experience with global and strategic negotiation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Execute Just In Time principles to ensure on-time material delivery for facility projects.
• Negotiate best prices and terms to maximize profit and supply reliability.
• Support service centers in pricing during quotations for competitive advantage.
• Monitor order progress to ensure on-time delivery for external and intercompany orders.
• Identify and resolve import processes issues and coordinate deliveries.
• Establish supply agreements with key suppliers to secure preferential pricing and delivery.
• Review stock levels to optimize on-site inventory.
• Other duties as assigned.
