Atlas Copco Group in Monterrey invites a Strategic Buyer & Supplier Development to join the Mexico Sourcing Team (MEXSO). You will manage selected commodities and lead supplier development to strengthen competitiveness.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and global procurement, driving cost reductions, quality improvements, and sustainable growth while traveling up to 30% within Mexico and occasional trips to the United States. The role offers a hybrid arrangement.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with proactive attitude and results-driven mindset.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in Spanish and English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
• Experience in purchasing and sourcing in technical/manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work across cross-functional and international teams.
• Willingness to travel within Mexico up to 30% and occasional US travel.

Responsabilidades

• Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers throughout Mexico.
• Lead sourcing projects focused on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain optimization.
• Conduct supplier negotiations and support contract management.
• Drive supplier performance using quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability metrics.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Procurement teams globally.
• Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost drivers to identify opportunities.
• Support supplier audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
• Report directly to the Mexico Sourcing Manager.
