Johnson Controls is seeking a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing lines, conduct process audits, drive continuous improvement, and reduce customer claims. You will work to ensure the quality of Chillers products and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Quality, 3–5 years of quality experience, knowledge of ISO 9001, and strong English/Spanish communication.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering or a related role.
• Experience with process audits, corrective actions, and problem-solving methodologies (8D, Root Cause Analysis).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; English and Spanish.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001) is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct regular process audits to identify deviations from SOPs and quality standards.
• Develop and implement corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Investigate customer complaints and determine root causes.
• Apply 8D problem-solving to address recurrent issues.
• Track quality metrics and report to management on performance.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain.
• Review and update control plans and PFMEA as needed.
• Coordinate with Quality Auditors on priorities and actions.

We are looking for a Quality Engineer.

What will you do?

Support our Manufacturing Lines, focusing on process audits, corrective actions, customer complaint investigation, and solution implementation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our Chillers Products and driving continuous improvement initiatives to reduce customer claims, reworks, and scrap.

How will you do it?

1. Process Audits: Conduct regular process audits to identify deviations from standard operating procedures and quality standards. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
2. Corrective Actions: Develop and implement corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
3. Customer Complaints Investigation: Investigate customer complaints and claims to determine root cause and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with customers to resolve issues and improve satisfaction.
4. Problem Solving and 8D: Apply problem-solving methodologies, including 8D, to attack recurrent issues and customer claims. Lead cross-functional teams to identify and implement effective solutions.
5. Quality Metrics and Reporting: Track and analyze quality metrics, including customer claims, reworks, and scrap. Provide regular reports to management on quality performance and initiatives.
6. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain. Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
7. Review, Update Control Plan/PFMEA based on manufacturing process and customer claims.
8. People management. Responsible to coordinate activities with Quality Auditors regarding priorities, audits & actions.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering or a related role.
• Experience with process audits, corrective actions, and problem-solving methodologies (8D, Root Cause Analysis, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; English and Spanish.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, etc.) is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Chillers Products or similar industries (HVAC, refrigeration, etc.).
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Certification in quality engineering (CQE, etc.) or Six Sigma is a plus.
