Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer – Python to strengthen our backend systems powering millions of collectors. This hands-on role shapes architecture and design decisions, influencing multiple projects while staying close to the code.

You will design and implement scalable backend services on AWS, own features end to end, and collaborate with global teams to deliver robust APIs and data models.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong Python proficiency.
• Hands-on with AWS Serverless (Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, API Gateway).
• Experience with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Proficiency in microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Advanced English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services on AWS serverless infrastructure.
• Own complete features end to end, from design through deployment.
• Design microservices and event-driven systems that scale reliably.
• Containerize and orchestrate services using Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
