BairesDev is seeking a Staff Apache Flink Engineer to lead the architecture and development of large-scale streaming platforms. You will design advanced pipelines, optimize Flink runtime, and influence technical direction across teams and ecosystem integrations.

Competenze

• 10+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems and real-time data processing.
• Deep understanding of Apache Flink architecture, state management, checkpointing, event-time processing, and exactly-once semantics.
• Proficiency in Java (primary), Scala, and Python (PyFlink) for ecosystem integrations.
• Proven experience designing, tuning, and scaling large streaming systems.
• Core contributions to Apache open source projects (Flink, Kafka, Spark, Hive, or similar).
• Advanced level of English.

• Contribute actively to Apache Flink and related open source projects as a core contributor.
• Design and optimize distributed streaming pipelines with stateful processing.
• Drive performance tuning, checkpointing strategies, and fault-tolerant stream processing.
• Lead integration improvements with Kafka, Hive, Iceberg, and other systems.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to engineering teams on stream processing best practices.
