Job summary

SWBC is seeking a detail-oriented accountant to manage general ledger activities across multiple entities. You will post entries, reconcile ledgers, and support month-end close while handling carrier statements, commissions, and AR processing in Workday. Strong data entry, GAAP knowledge, and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Minimum of one year of accounting or related experience.
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent data entry, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent listening and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, communication, and telephone etiquette.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post accounting entries, processing carrier statements, and commissions.
• Reconcile general ledger balances and perform month-end close processes.
• Process customer receivables and payments through the AR sub-ledger.
• Create new customers in the Workday system and validate customer data.
• Prepare recurring and month-end close journal entries with proper documentation.
• Monitor and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and resolve outstanding items.
• Assist with gathering documentation for external auditors.
• Produce process narratives and operating procedures.
