NOV Shared Services Mexico is seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in Monterrey. You will support multiple North American entities with accurate financial reporting, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and SOX compliance.

You will work closely with Accounting Managers and Controllers, contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence in a multinational environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• Experience with general ledger and month-end close processes.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX controls preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, especially Oracle or JDE.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; able to work independently.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and address discrepancies.
• Participate in month-end close activities and ensure timely completion.
• Assist with SOX testing and maintain compliant documentation.
• Support audits and provide financial information as needed.
• Collaborate with Accounting Managers and Controllers to resolve issues.
• Maintain understanding of accounting principles and corporate policies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Job Description

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience in General Ledger Accounting and month-end close activities.
• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Oracle, JDE, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in a Shared Services Center (SSC) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX controls is preferred.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to work, with excellent communication skills.
