Job summary

Ford México is seeking an STA Electronics Engineer to support global suppliers with manufacturing technical expertise and to drive PPAP readiness across electronics manufacturing. The role emphasizes supplier vetting, issue resolution, and cross-functional collaboration with Ford and supplier leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science / Engineering or equivalent. Candidates with automotive supplier experience considered.
Fluent English, written and spoken.
Experience with electronics manufacturing standards (IPC-610, ISO 9000, IATF 16949).
Knowledge of quality system tools (8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA).

Responsibilities

Conduct supplier risk assessments and onsite evaluations.
Industrialize new suppliers and support capacity studies.
Review PPAP tooling work plans for compliance.
Drive failure mode avoidance and ensure process compliance.
Lead quality improvement and supplier performance measurements.
Resolve supplier quality issues and drive corrective actions.
