Job summary

Kutir Technologies in Guadalajara, Mexico seeks a Senior Manual QA Engineer for Flutter mobile, iOS, Android, and Web applications. You will lead the transition of QA activities from a vendor, audit artifacts, fill coverage gaps, and implement robust manual testing processes to expand end-to-end test coverage.

You will drive defect prevention, manage test artifacts, and ensure quality across multi-platform Flutter deployments in a fast-paced client environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational takeover of testing scope and documentation from the incumbent vendor team with zero disruption to active development cycles.
• Design, maintain, and execute comprehensive test suites and manual test scenarios for Flutter apps on iOS, Android, and Web.
• Conduct exploratory, usability, cross-browser, and multi-device testing to identify edge-case defects early in the development lifecycle.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs using client issue-tracking systems (Buganizer/Jira), with clear reproduction steps and logs.
• Expand test coverage by gap analyses and risk-based testing matrices; enhance functional and regression suites.
• Work closely with developers and UX designers to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and validate release readiness.
• Establish standardized bug reporting protocols and reusable test data sets for web and mobile builds.

Contract Duration: 12 Months
Location: Guadalajara, Mexico
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Work Schedule: 5 days per week. Remote work is not available.

Role Summary

As a Senior Manual QA Engineer on our client engagement team, you will lead the operational takeover and quality
stabilization of multi-platform Flutter applications (iOS, Android, and Web). In this role, you will transition testing
responsibilities from an outgoing vendor team, audit existing test artifacts, identify coverage gaps, and establish
rigorous manual testing processes. Your primary mission is to expand end-to-end test coverage, catch defects before
they reach
production, and maintain high standards across Google's digital products.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Transition & Knowledge Acquisition: Lead the operational takeover of testing scope, documentation, and
test cases from the incumbent vendor team with zero disruption to active development cycles.
Test Strategy & Execution: Design, maintain, and execute comprehensive test suites and manual test scenarios
tailored for Flutter applications across iOS, Android, and Web platforms.
Exploratory & Edge-Case Testing: Conduct systematic exploratory, usability, cross-browser, and multi-device
testing to identify edge-case defects early in the
development lifecycle.
Defect Lifecycle Management: Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs using client issue-tracking systems
(e.g., Buganizer/Jira), providing precise reproduction steps, logs, and contextual data.
Test Coverage Expansion: Perform gap analyses on legacy test coverage, construct risk-based testing matrices,
and expand functional and regression test suites.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, and UX designers to clarify requirements, define
acceptance criteria, and validate release readiness.
Quality Standardization: Establish standardized bug reporting protocols, reusable test data sets, and structured
regression suites for web and mobile builds.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Experience: 4+ years of dedicated software quality assurance experience focusing on mobile and web
applications.
Flutter Ecosystem: Practical experience testing Flutter applications across iOS, Android, and Web, with an
understanding of Flutter layout behaviors, widget states, and platform-specific nuances.
Cross-Platform Verification: Deep hands-on experience with physical device testing (iOS/Android),
emulator/simulator environments, and major web browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge).

Technical Tooling

Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, Bruno, or curl), mobile debugging tools (Android
Studio, Xcode, Flutter DevTools), and browser developer console tools.
Vendor Transition Background: Proven experience stepping into legacy or underperforming project environments
and successfully taking ownership of QA operations.
Process Knowledge: Strong command of Agile/Scrum methodologies, SDLC/STLC, and shift-left quality principles.
Communication: Clear, concise technical communication skills for bug reporting and cross-functional
coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with accessibility (a11y) and internationalization (i18n) testing standards.
Basic understanding of Dart to assist developers with root-cause analysis.
