Job summary

CLOUDSUFI in Guadalajara is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to architect and scale automated testing for Flutter apps across iOS, Android, and Web. You will lead the move from a legacy vendor, refactor tests, and build a robust continuous testing framework to reduce regression time and defects reaching production.

You will work with developers early in sprints to ensure testable code and strong coverage, and manage test infra, devices, and metrics for Google stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software quality engineering with at least 3 years dedicated to automated UI and API testing across mobile and web products.
• Flutter & Dart: hands-on experience building test automation suites using Dart and Flutter testing libraries.
• CI/CD: practical experience configuring tests within modern CI/CD pipelines and cloud device clouds.
• API & Backend: strong REST/GraphQL API automation and mock service setup for end-to-end validation.
• Software engineering practice: Git, OO design, clean code, and code reviews.
• Vendor transition: experience delivering automation projects and scaling test coverage.

Responsibilities

• Automation Framework Architecture: design, maintain, and expand scalable test automation frameworks using Dart and Flutter testing toolkits.
• Vendor Transition & Suite Refactoring: audit legacy assets, remove flaky scripts, and rebuild reliable Web/Mobile test suites.
• CI/CD Integration: integrate automated test execution into pipelines to run smoke and regression suites on every PR.
• Multi-Platform Automation: develop end-to-end tests across iOS, Android, and Web form factors.
• Shift-Left Defect Prevention: collaborate with developers early to create testable code and catch bugs before production.
• Test Infrastructure & Execution: manage environments, device pools, emulators, and cloud device farms.
• Metrics & Reporting: monitor test pass rates, execution time, coverage, and flakiness for stakeholders.

About The Role

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will architect, build, and scale automated testing solutions for Flutter applications across iOS, Android, and Web platforms for our client engagement. You will lead the technical transition from an underperforming legacy vendor team, refactoring fragile test code and constructing a robust continuous testing framework. Your mission is to drive shift-left testing, maximize automated coverage, minimize regression cycle times, and prevent defects from reaching production.

Key Responsibilities

• Automation Framework Architecture: Design, maintain, and expand scalable test automation frameworks leveraging Dart and native Flutter testing toolkits.
• Vendor Transition & Suite Refactoring: Audit legacy vendor automation assets, remove flaky or redundant scripts, and rebuild reliable test suites across Web and Mobile.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test execution into continuous integration pipelines to run continuous smoke and regression suites on every pull request.
• Multi-Platform Automation: Develop maintainable automated end-to-end tests that run seamlessly across iOS, Android, and Web form factors.
• Shift-Left Defect Prevention: Work alongside developers early in the sprint cycle to create testable code, validate user stories, and ensure bugs are caught before staging and production builds.
• Test Infrastructure & Execution: Manage execution environments, device pools, emulators, and cloud device farms.
• Metrics & Reporting: Monitor and report key metrics including test pass rates, suite execution time, code/test coverage, and flakiness rates to Google stakeholders.

Key Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years in software quality engineering, with at least 3 years dedicated to automated UI and API testing across mobile and web products.
• Flutter & Dart Expertise: Hands-on experience developing test automation suites in Dart using standard Flutter testing libraries or native cross-platform tools.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Practical experience configuring continuous testing within modern CI/CD systems and cloud device clouds.
• API & Backend Automation: Strong proficiency in REST/GraphQL API automation and mock service setup for end-to-end workflow validation.
• Software Engineering Practice: Proficiency in Git, object-oriented design patterns, clean code standards, and code review processes.
• Vendor Transition Background: Demonstrated ability to overhaul under-delivering automation projects and rapidly scale effective test coverage.

Desired Skills

• Experience with mobile application performance, memory leaks, and frame-rate profiling in Flutter.
• Familiarity with cross-browser web testing engines integrated with Flutter Web builds.
• Superior Communication, iOS, and Flutter skills.

Working conditions

• Contract Duration: 12 Months.
• Rate per hour: $20 USD - $25 USD
• Location: Guadalajara, Mexico.
• Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite.
• Schedule: 5 days per week, working from the Guadalajara office. Remote work is not available.
