Johnson Controls in Monterrey area is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to analyze transportation options and optimize freight flows. You will plan, schedule and ensure timely deliveries using Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), manage load tendering, and coordinate with plants, suppliers and carriers for cost-effective, on-time shipments.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, at least 3 years in transportation or logistics, and strong English communication

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, transportation, logistics, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems, preferably Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).
• Experience in freight including TL, LTL, and parcel transportation.
• Strong planning and organizational skills with proactive problem solving.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze transportation options to meet service level requirements while optimizing flows at lowest cost.
• Plan, schedule, and ensure timely delivery of company freight using OTM.
• Manage load tendering, monitor shipments, and own assigned loads.
• Communicate shipment details among plants, units, suppliers, customers, and carriers.
• Identify optimization opportunities and develop cost-effective solutions.
• Maintain SOPs, guidelines, and logistics documentation.
• Collaborate with third-party providers to ensure efficient service execution.
• Support supplier onboarding to optimize inbound freight to plants and drop sites.
• Partner with Logistics Procurement on cost modeling for carrier rate negotiations.
• Work with Planning Department to schedule shipments and deliveries.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments for Mexico and US operations.
• Perform transportation compliance audits, KPI reporting, and project support.

What will you do?

• Analyze transportation options to meet service level requirements while optimizing transportation flows at the lowest possible cost.
• Plan, schedule, and ensure the timely delivery of company freight using Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).
• Manage load tendering, monitor planned shipments, and maintain ownership of assigned loads throughout the transportation process.
• Provide logistics support by effectively communicating shipment details among plants, business units, suppliers, customers, and carriers to ensure cost-effective, on-time deliveries across all transportation modes.
• Identify transportation optimization opportunities and develop the most cost-effective transportation solutions.
• Maintain and support standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidelines, and logistics-related documentation.
• Collaborate closely with third-party transportation service providers to ensure efficient service execution.
• Support the supplier onboarding process to optimize inbound freight to JCI plants, distribution centers, and drop shipment locations.
• Partner with the Logistics Procurement team to conduct transportation research and cost modeling in support of carrier rate negotiations.
• Work closely with the Planning Department to schedule shipments and deliveries.
• Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments for assigned operations.
• Manage transportation activities for suppliers located in Mexico and the United States.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including transportation compliance audits, KPI reporting, and project support.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), preferably Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).
• Experience in the freight industry, including Truckload (TL), Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), and parcel transportation.
• Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop effective action plans.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
