Sr. Tooling Design Engineer, focus on engineering documentation development (Materials, Drawing, performance).
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design development for requirements of tool room. This will include drawing, materials, DFM analysis and validation after the fabrication process.
- Support for tool makers on any tolerance or specifications of the drawing.
- Support for tool makers on machining process (CNC, Lathe, Milling Machines, Surface grinder).
- Support for Manufacturing Engineering on tooling development for manufacturing improvements (Fixtures, gauges, mechanism, Poka-yoke, etc.).
- Work with Sr. Planner for performance evaluation in Tool Room.
- 5’s management in tool room. Support and training for tool makers.
- Fluent conversational English >80%
- Design For Manufacturing skills are preferred
- Strong analytical skills to identify solutions to technical issues, risks and prepare balanced decisions are essential
- Ability to manage multiple projects and project deadlines and work independently
- Great hands-on ability and mechanical aptitude and experience in machine shop and hands on fabrication
- High experience using 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
- Strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and performing statistical tolerance analysis.

Essential:
- 5 + years’ experience.
- Lean Manufacturing Knowledge.
- GD&T High Knowledge.
- Solidworks High Knowledge.
- Pro-actively resolving critical design, manufacturing, quality and reliability issues
Desirable:
- Power BI Knowledge.
- Project management experience.
EDUCATION:
Essential:
- Bachelor’s Engineering degree. (Mechanical, Mechatronic, Industrial)
Desirable:
- Project Management Certification.
