Skyworks Solutions, Inc. in Mexicali is seeking a test engineer to design, develop, and implement cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting RF systems and equipment.

The role requires programming in C/C++, strong RF theory knowledge, and experience with ATE platforms, collaborating with Design and Production teams to ensure a smooth transition from development to production.

Formación

• Strong background in Digital/RF Theory and Practice, programming and ATE architecture knowledge.
• Programming background is a must, experience with C or C++ is required.
• RF Equipment test and measurement knowledge.
• Familiarity with wireless communications systems architecture and RF components.
• Statistical concepts and tools knowledge.
• Excellent ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people.
• BS degree in Electronic, Cybernetic, Mecatronic or Computing Engineering.
• English language.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and implement cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment.
• Prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, and create specifications and procedures.
• Plan labor, schedules, and equipment for testing and evaluating devices.
• Provide robust test solutions to NPI and Production teams by evaluating software and hardware.
• Collaborate with Design sites to ensure smooth transition to mass production.
• Develop test solutions across platforms to add production flexibility.
• Develop and implement Poka Yokes to prevent escapes.
• Improve test times through code optimization or specs to boost capacity.
• Support Production and Maintenance on setup issues in the line.

Job Description:

Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Designs, develops, and implements cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products. Plans the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.

• Provide robust test solutions to NPI and Production teams by performing evaluations of Software and Hardware.
• Works closely with Design sites to assure the smooth transition from the development stage to the mass production environment.
• Develops test solutions among different platforms to provide flexibility to production.
• Develops and implement Poka Yokes to prevent escapes.
• Develops and implement Test time reductions by code optimization or specs, to increase test capacity.
• Test Platforms Qualification or New technologies introduction.
• Provide technical support/mentoring to PE/QA/ME teams.
• Update and release programs with improvements (limits relaxations or tests stabilization).
• Support Production and Maintenance teams on setup issues in the line.

Required Experience and Skills

• Strong background in Digital/RF Theory and Practice, programming and ATE architecture knowledge.
• Programming background is a must, experience with C or C++ is required.
• RF Equipment test and measurement knowledge.
• Familiarity with a wireless communication systems architecture, RF PAs, transmitters & receivers, as well as experience with RF Filters and Switches and PA Controllers.
• Statistical concepts and tools knowledge.
• Required an excellent ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people.
• BS degree in Electronic, Cybernetic, Mecatronic or Computing Engineering.
• English language

Desired Experience and Skills

• Required familiarity with diverse ATE platforms (ASLx, DxV, ASL3K).
• Exensio/JMP/Minitab training.
• Master Degree in Radiofrequency or Telecommunications is a plus
• VBA Macro programming
