McDonalds Global Technology in Mexico City is seeking a senior Software Development Engineer III (Azure Specialist) to join our engineering team. You will design and implement scalable applications on Azure, focusing on architecture, reliability, and performance while actively coding.

The ideal candidate has deep C#/.NET experience, strong Azure service knowledge, and hands-on practice with distributed systems, security, observability, and DevOps collaboration.

Formación

• Strong professional experience developing production applications using C# and .NET.
• Advanced understanding of object-oriented programming and modern software engineering principles.
• Strong experience developing REST APIs and backend services.
• Strong experience with asynchronous programming and distributed applications.
• Hands-on development experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong knowledge of several Azure application services, particularly: Azure Functions, Service Bus, App Service, Cosmos DB/SQL, Storage, Key Vault, Application Insights.
• Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and messaging patterns.
• Experience implementing reliable message processing, including retries, dead-letter handling, idempotency, and failure recovery.
• Experience designing applications for scalability, resiliency, and availability.
• Experience with Git-based development workflows.

Department Overview

We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer III (SDE III) - Azure Specialist to join our engineering organization.

This is a hands-on software engineering role for a senior developer with deep expertise in building applications and distributed systems using Microsoft Azure.

The ideal candidate combines strong C#/.NET engineering skills with a deep understanding of Azure application services, cloud-native development patterns, asynchronous processing, security, resiliency, observability, and performance.

This role will serve as a technical reference for Azure application development, helping engineering teams design and implement reliable solutions while remaining actively involved in coding and delivery.

The Azure Specialist will work closely with our DevOps team but will primarily focus on application architecture and software development rather than cloud infrastructure administration.

Duties

• Software Engineering
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications and services using C# and .NET.
  • Build high-quality REST APIs, background services, event-driven applications, and distributed systems.
  • Write maintainable, testable, and production-ready code following modern software engineering practices.
  • Apply SOLID principles, dependency injection, design patterns, and appropriate architectural patterns.
  • Participate actively in code reviews, technical design discussions, troubleshooting, and implementation.
