Formación

Position Summary

Polaris Industries is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Software Engineer to support and optimize warehouse and material flow operations across manufacturing facilities through the design, development, configuration, and support of Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System (WMS) solutions.

This role partners closely with Product Owners, Software Engineers, Operations, Supply Chain, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable technology solutions that improve inventory management, warehouse efficiency, labor utilization, and operational performance. The Software Engineer will leverage both technical expertise and manufacturing knowledge to design, implement, and support solutions that drive continuous improvement and business value within Polaris manufacturing operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience supporting and configuring Blue Yonder WMS within a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience working with warehouse management, inventory control, material flow, and supply chain processes.

  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, system integrations, and data flows.

  • Experience configuring and supporting Blue Yonder WMS components, including:

  • WMS configuration

  • Workflow management

  • Integrator setup

  • RF device integration

  • Label and barcode printing

  • Reporting tools

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and database querying.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience supporting production environments and resolving system issues.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP platforms such as Infor XA, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.

  • Experience in discrete manufacturing environments.

  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

  • Experience designing and supporting system integrations between WMS, ERP, and manufacturing systems.

  • Experience with Jasper Reports, data visualization tools, and operational reporting solutions.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations, inventory management, and warehouse optimization principles.

  • Experience leading system enhancements, implementations, or continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Exposure to labor management systems and warehouse automation technologies.

  • Advanced understanding of software testing methodologies, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Position Overview

The Software Engineer – Blue Yonder WMS is responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting warehouse management solutions that optimize material flow and inventory management across Polaris manufacturing operations. The role collaborates with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to understand operational requirements and translate them into effective system solutions that align with organizational objectives.

Key responsibilities include maintaining system architecture, developing functional designs, configuring Blue Yonder WMS capabilities, and supporting integrations between warehouse, manufacturing, and enterprise systems. The position ensures system stability and performance through testing, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and ongoing system support.

The role serves as a technical subject matter expert for Blue Yonder WMS, providing guidance on best practices, process improvements, and system enhancements. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining technical documentation, executing system and user acceptance testing, supporting production deployments, and resolving user and operational issues in a timely manner.

Additionally, the Software Engineer partners with manufacturing and supply chain teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, labor efficiency improvements, and automation initiatives. Through data analysis and continuous improvement efforts, the role helps enhance warehouse performance, inventory accuracy, and overall operational effectiveness across Polaris manufacturing facilities.

The position requires strong collaboration, technical leadership, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders while supporting strategic initiatives that improve productivity, scalability, and business performance.
