Tech Mahindra in Guadalajara is seeking a Backend/API Developer with strong Java 11 skills. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs, collaborating with frontend teams and cross-functional stakeholders to meet business needs.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of backend experience, with a solid understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL), Git, and Agile methodologies. Familiarity with Docker, Swagger, and CI/CD is a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

We are seeking a skilled Backend/API Developer with a strong foundation in Java 11 to join our dynamic team in Guadalajara. The ideal candidate will have 2 5 years of experience in backend development, focusing on building robust and scalable APIs. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining backend services that power our applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high performance backend services and APIs using Java 11.
• Collaborate with front end developers to integrate user facing elements with server side logic.
• Implement and maintain RESTful APIs, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing applications and services.
• Work closely with cross functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our backend systems.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Java 11, with a solid understanding of object oriented programming principles.
• Experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
• Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git.
• Understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Knowledge of API documentation tools (e.g., Swagger, Postman).
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2 5 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Proven track record of delivering high quality software solutions on time.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
