A leading energy management company in Reynosa is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead cross-functional engineering projects and ensure quality assurance. You will manage customer accounts and drive compliance across the product lifecycle. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in project management and engineering, with a degree in a relevant field. This role is office-based, and may require site visits, ensuring customer expectations are met without compromise.

Formación

  • 10–15 years of experience in project management and quality engineering.
  • 7+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in regulated industries is a plus.

Position Summary

This role leads the strategic execution of cross‑functional engineering projects and quality assurance initiatives, with direct responsibility for the customer account. The Sr. Engineer ensures that all software, hardware, and embedded systems projects meet quality standards, are delivered on time, and align with customer expectations. This position combines project management excellence with deep quality engineering expertise, driving continuous improvement and compliance across the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Account Leadership
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all engineering and quality-related activities for the customer.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet the customer’s technical, regulatory, and quality expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders.
Project & Quality Management
  • Lead cross‑functional teams in software, hardware, and embedded systems development.
  • Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Ensure alignment with New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Development Process (PDP).
Quality Assurance & Testing
  • Develop and implement test strategies and validation protocols.
  • Oversee testing of database, backend, and client/server applications.
  • Guide defect tracking, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Risk Management
  • Facilitate System, Design, and Process FMEAs.
  • Partner with PMs to identify and mitigate project risks.
Process Improvement & Compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and quality functions.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, RoHS, and other relevant standards.
  • Audit project milestones and escalates non‑conformances.
Mentorship & Team Development
  • Mentor engineers and project managers.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Provide regular project and quality status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent the company professionally with the main customer and other customers.
  • Maintain strong communication channel with the Canada Sr. Program Manager.
Education & Experience
  • Desirable bachelor’s degree in electronic, electrical or mechatronic engineering or related field.
  • 10–15 years of experience in project management and quality engineering.
  • 7+ years in a leadership role.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification desired.
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., utilities, telecommunications) is a plus.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage remote teams across time zones.
  • Deep understanding of quality tools: 8D, D/P FMEA, DFSS, Root Cause Analysis.
  • Fluent English and French desirable.

Working Conditions
  • Office‑based.
  • May require use of PPE depending on project site visits.
