Overview

The Sr. Production Supervisor is responsible for the hiring, training, and performance management of employees working in a high-volume environment. Implements process improvements and is responsible for the safety and productivity of the workforce, including the quality of the product. Ensures that the production schedule is met on a regular basis.

The Nogales plant produces a wide variety of high volume, which includes a high mix of valves, rotors and spares systems. The position is responsible for fostering a performance-driven and continuous-improvement environment for production, and has accountability for safety, quality, delivery, and the productivity performance of the group.

Responsibilities

• Supervise manufacturing activities in a high-mix and high-volume assembly process.
• Ensure safety regulations, regulatory controls, policies, and procedures are followed.
• Ensure production schedule attainment.
• Supervise, develop, and train production leaders to ensure contribution to company objectives.
• Coordinate the hiring, training, and performance management plan for direct employees.
• Drive efficiency by implementing process improvements, increasing quality and minimizing down time through a problem-solving methodology and lean manufacturing techniques.
• Daily production reporting.
• Ensure accurate communication among all departments and production personnel.
• Availability of working different shifts.
• Involve production, maintenance, quality, engineering, and materials personnel in a team approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

REQUIRED Qualifications:

• BS or BA degree in engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in supervisory positions.
• Lean manufacturing and six sigma tools.
• Bi-lingual English and Spanish.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Enthusiastic, proactive and team player.
• Proven record of achieving good results and increasing responsibilities.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree.
• Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma Certification.
• Experience as Manufacturing or Production Manager.
