This Position reports to:

Procurement Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the interface between the Procurement and Research and Development (R&D) team. Each day, you will drive procurement knowledge (market, suppliers, external intelligence) into the development process to optimize cost, quality, and technology. You will also showcase your expertise by translating R&D requests into procurement parameters for execution.

The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite

This role contributes to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in San Luis Potosi.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Cost breakdown analysis, hedging forecast program for main commodities, supplier cost review, and seeking cost improvements with suppliers and processes.
• Acting as a key business focal point for revising the procurement Gate Model checklist.
• Selecting, with the support of affected Procurement teams, prototype suppliers and final production material suppliers, in line with product cost requirements, future product footprint requirements, time-to-market requirements, and procurement strategies, while ensuring sustainable quality and cost.
• Act as a key stakeholder for multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 6+ years experience in Purchasing, cost analysis, manufacturing impact cost in MetalFab industry
• Advanced English
• SAP or other ERP knowledge
• Manufacturing know-how processes
• Ability to lead indirect teams, be self-directed, and communicate openly
