Trane Technologies in Monterrey, NL, Mexico, seeks a Mechanical/Industrial/Mechatronic engineer with 10+ years in precision CNC machining and programming. The role focuses on developing robust CNC processes, leading process improvements, and mentoring the machining team within the Monterrey facility.

Applicants should have strong Lean, DMAIC, GD&T and Minitab skills, plus proficiency in English. On-site work with opportunities to drive cost and quality improvements.

Formación

  • BSc in Mechanical/Industrial/Mechatronic field required or similar.
  • MS degree preferred for advanced roles.
  • Experience in precision CNC machining and programming required (10+ years).
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, DMAIC, GD&T and statistical tools.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop CNC processes for roughing, milling, finishing with quality control.
  • Define machine specs, approval protocols, runoff and equipment installation needs.
  • Solve problems using 6-Sigma, DOE, A3, 9-Step and 5-Why methodologies.
  • Maintain and improve CNC programs via CD Analysis of dimensions and tolerances.
  • Design/select tooling and fixtures; apply GD&T; support CMM measurement programs.
  • Analyze process data to implement improvements in CNC machining operations.
  • Handle project admin tasks: POs and follow-up for capital equipment.
  • Track and improve metrics: scrap, FPY, DPU, downtime and efficiency.
  • Develop and update Control Plans, PFMEAs, JSAs and ergonomic studies.
  • Collaborate in Opex initiatives like VSAs, RIEs, and Gembas.

What’s In It For You

Develop robust and reliable manufacturing processes related to CNC precision machining to support regular operations, NPD programs, and productivity initiatives in Monterrey facility. The Machining PQE should constantly meet Product/Project Costs, Quality, and implementation schedule established by the project while being a mentor for the machining team.

Where is the work: This position will be located in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon.

What You Will Do
  • Apply highly technical skills in developing CNC processes (roughing, milling, finishing) achieving Process Control and Capability requirements, while meeting Safety Requirements.
  • Define machine specifications, approval protocols, runoff, and installation requirements for Capital equipment related to CNC machining.
  • Perform advanced problem solving using 6-Sigma, DOE, A3, 9 Step Problem Solving, and 5-Why tools to systematically determine root cause.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve CNC machining programs through deep analysis of Critical Dimensions and Tolerancing.
  • Design/select machining tools and fixtures, define inspection process applying GD&T principles, and develop process monitoring and support CMM measurement programs.
  • Analyze, develop and implement process improvements in CNC machining operations.
  • Perform administrative tasks as part of project implementation: Purchase Orders and follow up (Capital, equipment, fixtures, and tools).
  • Measure, analyze and improve indicators in SQDIP (SCRAP, FPY, DPU's, Downtime and Efficiency of machining equipment).
  • Develop and update Control Plans, PFMEAs, JSAs and Ergonomic studies related to machining and assembly processes. Follow up to the EHS scorecard metrics.
  • Collaborate in Opex initiatives as VSAs, RIEs, and Gembas.
What You Will Bring
  • Mechanical/Industrial/Mechatronic BSc degree, preferrable MSc Materials, Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering, Quality or similar.
  • Manufacturing/Process/Quality Engineer with at least 10 years on Precision machining and Programming (roughing, milling, finishing).
  • Project Management skills
  • Advance CNC programming and tool selection and design.
  • Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, material flow, DMAIC, GD&T, Minitab, TPM, and AutoCAD, with proven ability to coach, mentor, and support team capability development.
  • Proven experience leading teams and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of English
