Trane Technologies in Monterrey, Mexico, seeks an experienced Machining PQE to develop precision CNC processes and lead manufacturing improvements.

You will work on-site in Apodaca with GD&T, Lean, and advanced problem solving, mentor the machining team, and drive safety and quality in NPD programs.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
  • At least 8 years in precision machining and programming.
  • Experience with CNC processes and tooling.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop CNC processes for roughing, milling, and finishing to meet process control and safety requirements.
  • Define machine specifications, approval protocols, and installation needs for capital CNC equipment.
  • Utilize 6-Sigma, DOE, A3, 9 Step Problem Solving, and 5-Why to identify root causes and improve CNC programs.
  • Design machining tools and fixtures; apply GD&T and develop inspection and CMM programs.
  • Improve CNC machining operations and monitor key indicators (SQDIP).
  • Handle project tasks: purchase orders and follow-up for capital equipment and tools.
  • Develop PFMEAs, JSAs, ergonomic studies; track EHS metrics.
  • Collaborate in Opex initiatives like VSAs, RIEs, and Gembas.

What’s In It For You

Develop robust and reliable manufacturing processes related to CNC precision machining to support regular operations, NPD programs, and productivity initiatives in Monterrey facility. The Machining PQE should constantly meet Product/Project Costs, Quality, and implementation schedule established by the project while being a mentor for the machining team.

Where is the work

This position will be located in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon.

What You Will Do
  • Apply highly technical skills in developing CNC processes (roughing, milling, finishing) achieving Process Control and Capability requirements, while meeting Safety Requirements.
  • Define machine specifications, approval protocols, runoff, and installation requirements for Capital equipment related to CNC machining.
  • Perform advanced problem solving using 6-Sigma, DOE, A3, 9 Step Problem Solving, and 5-Why tools to systematically determine root cause. Develop, maintain, and improve CNC machining programs through deep analysis of Critical Dimensions and Tolerancing.
  • Design/select machining tools and fixtures, define inspection process applying GD&T principles, and develop process monitoring and support CMM measurement programs.
  • Analyze, develop and implement process improvements in CNC machining operations.
  • Perform administrative tasks as part of project implementation: Purchase Orders and follow up (Capital, equipment, fixtures, and tools). Measure, analyze and improve indicators in SQDIP (SCRAP, FPY, DPU's, Downtime and Efficiency of machining equipment).
  • Develop and update Control Plans, PFMEAs, JSAs and Ergonomic studies related to machining and assembly processes. Follow up to the EHS scorecard metrics.
  • Collaborate in Opex initiatives as VSAs, RIEs, and Gembas.
What You Will Bring
  • Mechanical/Industrial/Mechatronic BSc degree, preferrable MSc Materials, Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering, Quality or similar. Manufacturing/Process/Quality Engineer with at least 8 years on Precision machining and Programming (roughing, milling, finishing).
  • Project Management skills
  • Advance CNC programming and tool selection and design.
  • Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, material flow, DMAIC, GD&T, Minitab, TPM, and AutoCAD, with proven ability to coach, mentor, and support team capability development.
  • Proven experience leading teams and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of English
