Job summary

ZF LIFETEC in Reynosa, MX is seeking a Sr Supply Chain Spec-Inventory to oversee demands, forecast, and production requirements. You will ensure materials are available, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with local and overseas suppliers to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires 5+ years in supplier-related work, strong negotiation, and proficiency with SAP and MS Office, plus the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience within suppliers, including negotiating responsibilities.
• Strong proficiency with SAP and MS Office tools.
• Proven ability to negotiate, forecast, and manage supplier relationships.
• Experience with sourcing/decision making processes.

Responsibilities

• Review demands, forecast and production requirements.
• Ensure materials are available when needed.
• Monitor inventory levels and avoid shortages or excess stock.
• Monitor raw material shipments to ensure receipt of material.
• Coordinate with suppliers local, domestic and overseas.
• Collaborate with production, warehouse, engineering, purchasing and sales.
• Create spot buys as needed and remove unneeded ones.
• Follow up on supplier performance and resolve supply issues.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and aging/obsolete stock.
• Expedite material when required.
• Follow up on on-time delivery and material shortages.

Your Tasks

• Review demands, forecast, and production requirements
• Ensure materials are available when needed
• Monitor Inventory levels and avoid shortages or excess stock
• Monitor raw material shipments to ensure receipt of material.
• Works with whatever allocation suppliers local, domestic, and overseas.
• Works with production, warehouse, engineering, purchasing, and sales.
• Create spots buys if is need it and delete if are not needed.
• Follow up with suppliers’ performance and resolve supply issues.
• Maintain appropriate inventory and aging and excess/ obsolete material.
• Expedite material.
• Follow up suppliers on time Delivery, material shortages, premium freight.
• Knowledge in engineering changes and new launches.
• Follow up deviations
• Basic knowledge of drawings.

Your Profile

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within suppliers, including experience negotiating
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP.
• High level of independent judgment & High Ethical Standards
• Prior experience with sourcing processes/decision making.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and analytical and leadership skills
